As a professional ballet dancer, I performed with multiple companies including The Feld Ballet, a New York City ballet company that toured American and international cities.
 
After hanging up my performing pointe shoes, I became a teacher for dancers seeking
professional careers: first at Sarah Lawrence College and The New Ballet School (now
Ballet Tech.)

I was determined to be the type of teacher I did not have – the kind that acknowledges
‘you are a whole person, with a body that can express and learn through movement, a
body to treat as sacred and trained with care and respect.’

To bring that approach to all people, I found a role in dance education

at the coolest progressive school! There I learned more subject matter

and valuable lessons than I can name in this space. A big one was

Dance Improvisation. It changed my life. Since then, I’ve been

teaching and facilitating movement improv to movers age 3 to 103.

More recently, here in West Hartford, CT. 
 
I can’t tell you the amount of pleasure I get when I create structures for

improvisation events and classes that invite you to ignite your creativity,

go deeper into authentic connection with yourself and others, and

experience the pure joy of moving!
